Chain Gang jumped out to an early lead on Richland Monarchs and captured a 10-1 victory on Saturday at Lexington, SC.

With five runs in the first three innings, Chain Gang left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A two-run home run by Jacob Todd during the first inning fueled Chain Gang’s offense early.

Jacob racked up three RBIs on one hit for Chain Gang.

Mikey Largis shut down Richland Monarchs while he was on the hill. Richland Monarchs managed just two hits off of the Chain Gang’s pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his four innings of work.

Jones took the loss for Richland Monarchs. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked one and struck out three.

Chain Gang built upon its lead with three runs in the third. A passed ball scored Dylan Wallace for the inning’s first run.

Chain Gang tallied one run in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth. In the fourth, Chain Gang scored on a sacrifice fly by TJ Salter, plating Mikey.

Chain Gang piled on two more runs in the top of the seventh. Kaden Blankenship‘s single got things going, scoring Caleb Houston.
